This week we remodeled our carts in science and then we tested them. We used magnets to do cart tricks. You'll see that we are in our throwback apparel!

WACKY Pirates

On Tuesday we had Pirate Day. It was fun and we created pirate necklaces.

Forces and Motion

In science class we are learning about forces and motion. Here you see us experimenting with twirly birds.

Hermit Crabs

This week we got hermit crabs. These were paid for from a special grant from Adopt a Classroom and Farmer's Insurance.

We named the hermit crabs; Zuma, Speedy, Bob, and Daredevil. Take a peek at them! We really like having them in our class. So far we've learned that they are nocturnal, they pinch, they're a little smelly, they like to dig holes and bury themselves, they like to climb, they fall off slippery surfaces, they like to hide under objects, they like to be hot and humid, and they like to stay in groups.

Science Experiment

Yesterday we did a science experiment with toothpicks and marshmallows. We learned all about the Scientific Process. The tallest tower was 4 1/2 inches. Be sure to ask your child all about it!
