Wacky Wednesday and Dr. Seuss

We had a great day! Students learned about comparison problems and did a fabulous job! They also started FANTASTIC stories about their fictional trips to outer space. I can't wait to share them with you! Many students are also finishing their presidential biographies! Here are some pictures of the day:

Green Eggs & Ham to go with Mrs. Smith's favorite Dr. Seuss story!

We sure were WACKY today!

One fish, two fish...Smith fish...
Lots of different fish! Students colored a fish in a design they wanted. We have Rainbow fish, Camo fish, Flag fish, and more! We took pictures and glued them on the fish too! :)

Harvest of the Month

On Monday we had a Harvest of the Month presentation from Burnett Dairy. We learned all about cheese. Be sure to ask your child all about it.

Changes

Life brings lots of changes. This week we've had to deal with a hard change and also a joyful change. Last weekend I was in Duluth and decided to buy our classroom two new baby hermit crabs. My daughter, Isabelle, picked them out. Here they are:

What I didn't know was that over the weekend our hermit crab, Hunter had died. I also just learned today that our hermit crab, Speedy also died. Sometimes when they choose to leave their shell and go into another shell, they get stuck or can't. They also just get sick like other animals. We are sad, but have kept their pictures up as a memory of them.
