In December, I reached out to 37 people (http://www.donorschoose.org/people37) after a call out for them to come to Wisconsin and support a non-profit. We made plans and $1,500 was donated to Spooner Elementary School for community service. This money was then used to reduce the cost of the Earth Day t-shirts, plant sunflowers, allow 3rd grade students to travel to downtown Spooner and tear out and plant new flowers (which will continue to be completed in the coming weeks), and it allowed our class to paint ceramic pots and plant flowers in them for local businesses. Here is part 1 of our adventure. This week we will be heading downtown on Thursday or Friday again to deliver more pots and do some planting. A huge thank you to 37 People. We had such a great time and our students have learned so much about giving back and keeping our Earth safe and healthy! We also picked up garbage with our Kindergarten buddies in Ms. Schmidt's class. We went out before the sprinkles came.
